Computation and its Limitation in Financial Network Models

The study of financial networks from a computational perspective is a recent topic of interest in theoretical computer science. Recent work focuses on understanding economic risk in financial markets using classical tools from complexity theory. Modern financial networks consist of economic entities interconnected by debt obligations and derivatives, where the latter are contracts issued upon existing debt obligations in the network
